"Yin and Yang"

Hey everyone! Are you excited for the new school year? Personally I'm not. I mean I want to see my friends and start making new name tags, but the home work and the stress of first staring middle school is a lot. But, I think I found an inspiring mix, the yin and yang sign. We learned about it last year: yin and yang mean the dark and light side of the hill. Kind of like school, there is good and bad things about it. I think this name tag is hip and cool (not to sound like I'm living in the 80ds) But i hope you enjoy!

TOOLS
index card
yin and yang signs
glue

DIRECTIONS
1. Go to this link for the yin and yang signs. http://www.supremechienergy.com/images /yin_yang.gif
2. move them to word or pages and make them all different sizes and print it out.
3. cut them out and glue them on top of covering all the white spaces.
4. glue your name in the middle on top of the signs. place something heavy on top of t so the ends don't curl up.

(and i could write my name in my awesome pen!)

WHAT YOU NEED
* index card
* black permanent marker
* newspaper
* floral design

Okay, so to get started just cut up a little pit of newspaper (it is best to get a section from an article (mine was tiger woods so if u see anything u know (strange) don't be surprised)) and

Types of Design

Okay. So now that we have the basics down we can start creating. Find a type of style that you like best. if you like something fancy you could do some cursive or ribbon. if you like something modern you could spice it up with Centery Gothic font and geometric shapes. Think of what you like. If you like the ocean you could do fish stickers or some blue pictures of waves. For me I like tons of different things so I this type of name tags that is colorful, has cursive, but add the effect of awesome when its all put together.

WHAT YOU NEED
* thin black sharpie
* thin markers/pens (a different color for each letter in your name)
* small index card

So first you need to take the black sharpie and write your name in cursive in the center of the card. Then write your name small on the boarder of the index card. After that take the one of the colored markers/pens and write the first letter of your name behind the center cursive one but make sure they never touch. Repeat with a different color for each letter. Next your going to fill in each loop on the boarder but, with each name fill it all in one color like for me the first letter was b and the color for the back round of that was green so for the first name on the boarder i will color all the loops in that one green. Then take the next color and color the next name that. NOTE: it does not matter which name you star coloring the loops in. Keep repeating this in till all the small names are filled up! Enjoy your nametag! -Bella <3
